miraj- the spiritual spa treatment
Few can defy gravity
And make the time machine stop momentarily
Tired of grief from tormentors
Muhammad retreated into the Futures
From home all the way to Jerusalem
He was taken into Heaven
The gates opened until the Lote Tree
Until He was summoned by the Throne Owner Yaa Habeebe
He saw the sweetness of Heaven and met His comrades
He witnessed the cinders of Hell and realised his luckiness
Gifted with Salah and numerous gifts otherwise
Rasollulah brought His Followers forever a spiritual surprise
Upon His return, they dubbed his miracle a lie
How can you travel two months' distance in wink of an eye?
Abu Bakr believed, such is love not Hate!
The Believers always believe, isn't it, the logic of Faith?
So among the lessons of Miraj we learn
That God takes up the slave not the labels we earn
He uplifts you from your downtrodden state
If you can humble infront of Him and relate
That the lofty place of worship is the key
The masjid is mentioned and not his Meccan alley
To remind us that the haven of peace
Is the retreat of the broken hearted-on your knees
And its the care that counts when stressed-bent
That someone both hears and listens with all intent
So the All Hearing and All Seeing embraced His Beloved
Knowing the Year of Grief needed a break with beautiful memories lived!
And make the time machine stop momentarily
Tired of grief from tormentors
Muhammad retreated into the Futures
From home all the way to Jerusalem
He was taken into Heaven
The gates opened until the Lote Tree

Wows for vows!
Wow!
The day of vows
Finally here
Your journey amazing
Nadia
You know how much it took
Your determination
Your virtue
Your trust in your values
Brought you the gift
Sirus
You have made your mom proud
Your dad smiling
The sweetness of love
Is tasted in every item
The union of two hearts
Two families
And two cultures
The song of love
Sung by angels enjoyed by all
May your marriage be blessed
And children plentiful
May your respect be kind
And in your eyes
Find coolness all the time
The day of vows
Finally here
Your journey amazing

In Praise of Islam
Oh Allah!
What a day!
You brought colors
Like spring flowers
Glowing from the light
You lit the Heavens and Prophets white
Let the love flow
Hatred disappear
Like the Niagara inspires from so far
The water of love motivates good from bad
The candle sometimes doesn't withstand the winds
But another candle lights her
Khatija name magnified
Lighted by the lamp of her simple Kaba, the Dignified
The sacrifice of building Islam
The tears, sweat, and blood they are
Todays' cuisine so luxurious
Tasty, wholesome food for the soul for the curious
The hearts are warm
Canada is secured
But where is the Faith
What will be the Star of the next generation?
Like Don's, the new revert, silent tears
Rejected for his reversal of atheist tendency
Like the mother's hands spread in Tahajjud nightly prayers
Our spirit will not fade
For Love and only love will survive the storm
When we beleive Allah is the behind this Huge Complex!
Who else can do but Him, the Merciful?!
What a day!
You brought colors

The Holy Prophet's Golds!
Oh One Who taught us the Quran
The right to know truth
Without change or human error
Your divine Gold uncompeted
Oh One Who gave women their rights
To be alive, to marry, to inherit, to be
You covered the bare headed princess of Yemen
With your own shawl
What an everlasting Recipient of Gold you are!
Oh One Who made purification easy
When others in the past scissored the impure patches
You gave us washing and even tayammum
You made cleanliness is next to Godliness possible
What perfect Gold you scorred!
Oh One Who won followers of all Faiths
Listening to cries of remorse and guilt
You provided us direct Tauba, no third party needed
You showed even the worse of killers like Wahshi can be forgiven
Wow what infinite Gold you striked!
Oh One Who Cared about Tauheed, His Oneness
When Prophets and Saints are worshipped
You ensured your reverence is guarded
You denied even a picture of your handsomeness!
That's pure Gold, eh!
Oh One Who made strangers His family
When tribes and races killed and broke hearts
You gave Blacks, Browns and Whites the same podium
With you racism is hatred for Bilal,
There is no Gold like this ever!
Oh One Whose love sits in every heart
Your friends compliment you and your foes admire
Al-Amin is your name before Rasollulah
Love is your first name, oh Allah ka Habeeb!
Gold so golden, duh!
Oh One Who is buried in Medina
Our thoughts like Niagara flow to you forever
When will we meet?
Just a smile is enough for this tormented lover!
You're this world's lifetime achiever!
The right to know truth
Without change or human error
Your divine Gold uncompeted
Oh One Who gave women their rights
To be alive, to marry, to inherit, to be

Chance favours the prepared mind!
Oh Lord
Why this anxiety?
This muscle
Not stopping to contract
This heartbeat
Endlessly jumpy
My wild dreams turned frenzy
Where is the calm?
Has our snow turned slushy?
Thought it was heaven
I courted
Now not aware
If today will be good
But with You Oh Provider
My life will be lovely!
No matter who!
Why this anxiety?
This muscle
Not stopping to contract
This heartbeat
Endlessly jumpy
My wild dreams turned frenzy
Where is the calm?
Has our snow turned slushy?
Thought it was heaven
I courted
Now not aware
If today will be good
But with You Oh Provider
My life will be lovely!
No matter who!

PARENTS-BABY POLITICS
Born on the bed of love
You brought laughter
Your cries terrifying
Yet your embrace so soothing
Today you're olympian
A corporate globetrotter
Your beauty celebrated on plasma
Every muscle grown into career with power
So you forgot your oldies
That rocked through the nights
And cradled you from danger
You gave me the looks forgetting how I lost mine
Why this lost of love
I was Valentine before the roses
Working two jobs so you may not
Hearing racist slurs so your Canada be respectful
I wonder oh baby boy
Will you not turn to Salah
Your first ipod was Azan
Your final word will be Allah
I remain in your eyes outgrown
But you are still my life's joy
No matter you did not pay the bills
I just want you to call and be good to my grands
You refused me a chair on your dinner table
Your new controller dislikes my thoughts
It was me who celebrated your aqiqa
I remain your wellwisher without being on the mortgage
It's me big baby
Don't play politics with my love
You will sit here some day
And wonder what went wrong!
You brought laughter
Your cries terrifying
Yet your embrace so soothing
Today you're olympian
A corporate globetrotter
Your beauty celebrated on plasma
